Epocware/Paragon Software Group ha lanciato Handy Guard per S60, una soluzione avanzata di protezione per smartphone che consente di bloccare e rimuovere completamente i dati per impedirne l'utilizzo e dotata inoltre di una funzione di invio SMS con il nuovo numero di telefono in caso di furto o smarrimento del telefono.

Le statistiche dimostrano che quasi la metà di tutti i crimini commessi in strada riguardano il furto di telefoni cellulari, senza considerare il gran numero di telefoni cellulari smarriti, lasciati negli armadietti, sui banchi di scuola o nei taxi. Un altro grande problema derivante dallo smarrimento di un telefono è la bolletta telefonica di cui potrebbe ancora essere responsabile il proprietario del telefono smarrito. Handy Guard fornisce una protezione completa dei dati memorizzati sullo smartphone S60 e consente inoltre di recuperare il telefono, inviando un allarme tramite SMS con il nuovo numero telefonico; tutto ciò rappresenterà un'efficace protezione contro lo smarrimento del telefono.

Funzioni principali di Handy Guard per S60:

• Bloccaggio automatico dopo un certo periodo di tempo o fino alla successive accensione del dispositivo, poichè lo smartphone richiede l'inserimento del PIN
• Protezione mediante password (Calendario, Contatti, Registro, Messaggi, Foto, Video, File, Impostazioni)
• Protezione opzionale per le applicazioni prescelte
• Funzione di bloccaggio automatico abilitata mediante l'invio dell'SMS LOCK da un altro telefono per bloccare l'accesso ai dati e al dispositivo smarrito
• Capacità di rimozione dati in modalità remota, attivata mediante l'SMS WIPE
• L'allerta SMS consente di inviare in remoto SMS con il nuovo numero telefonico. I messaggi SMS di allerta vengono inviati al numero di telefono predefinito, quando la nuova SIM card viene inserita.

Handango Champion Awards, the annual ceremony held by Handango Inc., recognizes the most innovative mobile applications and developers worldwide. For the first time, the best applications in different categories were determined by consumers votes.
